Sailun Announces New Overseas Investment
Sailun Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Sailun Group") has announced a new overseas investment initiative.
To strengthen its presence in the Australian tire market, Sailun International Holding (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Sailun (Singapore)"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sailun Tire Sales Co.Ltd (hereinafter referred to as "Sailun Tire"), will invest AUD 5 million to acquire an 11.09% stake in the Mobile Tyre Shop Unit Trust (MTS Trust).
On June 20, Sailun (Singapore) executed a Trust Agreement with MTS Holdings, the Trustee of the MTS Trust.
Established on March 16, 2016, the MTS Trust focuses on tire distribution and related services. MTS Holdings operates an e-commerce platform for tire sales and online purchasing with installation services, complemented by mobile tire-fitting vans that provide on-site replacement.
This investment will enable Sailun Tire to leverage MTS Holdings' established distribution channels and market resources to expand its Australian operations.
By utilizing MTS's local network and customer base, Sailun Tire aims to accelerate market penetration, enhance brand visibility, and drive sustainable sales growth in Australia.
As Chinese tire manufacturers continue to globalize their operations, Sailun Tire maintains an industry-leading position with multiple international facilities. The company is currently advancing expansion projects including its truck tire plant in Cambodia, along with new factories in Indonesia and Mexico. Sailun Group's Indonesian production base and Mexico production base commenced production with its first tire manufactured on May 28 and 30.
